You will have access to unlimited communication with Rachel via e-mail, text, or phone during designated daytime hours, and have lifetime access to an ever-growing directory of resources and Rachel's lending library. During an in-person prenatal visit, you will have the opportunity to process through any fears or concerns you may have and how to address them during labor and birth, discuss your options for labor, birth and the immediate postpartum period, learn about informed consent and self-advocacy, discuss any concerns you may have for the postpartum period, and discuss how your partner or others on your birth team can best support you and help you navigate labor and birth.
Rachel can provide guidance on breastfeeding and general newborn care, and suggest best practices for healing. A customizable plan will be created for up to four hours of in-person postpartum support depending on your individual needs and circumstances. This time can be utilized in any way it is needed, such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, running errands, processing through how your labor and birth unfolded, or simply giving you time and space to yourself. Rachel can also make recommendations to other supports and providers if the need arises.
